Vista de la Plaza del Mercado en La Habana, ofrece una magistral escena en la que se combinan los ocupantes ingleses con las diversas clases sociales, en una plaza que constituye una vívida escena de costumbres de la época. Construcciones al fondo muestran la arquitectura de la ciudad, la fuente suministradora del agua, todo tipo de usos y medios de transporte como volantas y un carruaje. Soldados ingleses en formación militar, señores, sacerdotes, vendedores, niños jugando a la pelota o con un perro. -

Vista del puerto y ciudad de La Habana desde Jesús del Monte, muestra un paisaje rural en el que las palmas cobran un papel importante. En primer plano se presenta una volanta, un caballo alimentándose y un grupo de tres personas que descansan, una de ellas es una esclava por su aspecto; la otra el cochero, y por último un caballero sentado junto a él, al pie de ellos aparecen dos tinajones de barro. Se observan animales pastando, , hombre trabajando la tierra y a lo lejos la ciudad, bahía, varios veleros, y el Morro. -
